With an eye to the most innovative design and ergonomics, the ball heads range have been redesigned in order to be more user friendly and easier to handle.  Manfrotto ball heads range provides different solutions for different needs,  with a payload range from 2kg to 8kg.

The family is composed by 4 models, depending on they payload. Four codes features a simple plate using the standard 1/4” camera mount thread. (492, 494, 496 and 498). A further four codes features quick release plates (494RC2, 496RC2, 498 RC2 and 498 RC4).

Making ball heads easier and quicker to work with, Manfrotto have introduced some new features......

1.    a completely new friction control - allows the photographer a safer and more precise movement of the camera.

2.    a clever repositionable locking lever can be placed in the most convenient position for the photographer to handle it.

3.    models featuring the quick release plate, include an additional safety system that avoids the accidental detaching of the camera from the head .
