Launched in 2001, Buy-n-Shoot.com moved quickly to establish itself as the most credible and used photographic news, digital camera reviews, classifieds and photography tips website in Australia. The site's success and continued growth has attracted not only the attention of the photographic industry's largest corporate companies but most importantly the attention of photography enthusiasts from across Australia and around the globe.

Michael Gazzola - Managing Director
While Michael studied part-time and eventually completed a Diploma in Applied Photography between the years 1993-98 he worked in a professional photo lab and learnt the now lost fine art of colour film printing, in both the traditional darkroom and on machine. Although the mediums today have changed he acknowledges the basic elements are exactly the same, only now captured in digital form. Since 1999 Michael has run a professional commercial photography studio and today still very much works in the field. In 2001 Michael founded the Buy-n-Shoot.com company and the rest is history.

Deon Van Den Berg - Marketing & Sales
Deon joined the company in September 2009 and had an instant impact on the direction and development of the company. His previous workings withthe Telstra and Sensis Media brands managing a $1.8 million dollar portfolio brought a measured experience and drive required to be part ofthe Buy-n-Shoot.com team. And somewhere in the middle of this, Deon is studying (the same course as Katrina and Michael have completed) a Diploma of Art in Applied Photography. So with phone firmly pressed against his ear while jet setting around Australia with clients he's nothing short of flat out!
Katrina Putker - Digital Camera Reviewer
Katrina joined the team in April 2008. She arrived with a passion for photography accompanied by a Bachelor of Journalism and a Diploma of Art in Applied Photography. In 2006, Katrina spent an extended period of time in the United States where she studied under the guidance of photojournalism professor, Tommy Thompson, and had the privilege of meeting White House photo editor, Courtney Bowers. Katrina's concise writing style and keen eye for detail has seen a number of her reviews discussed in online forums and linked to by many photography websites around the globe.

Simon Vrantsis - Digital Camera Reviewer
Simon joined the team in April 2010. Considered something of a travelling vagabond at heart, has a natural instinct for the visual world. With a strong background in design as well as a Diploma in Professional Writing and Editing, he’s spent more recent times learning the ins and outs of photography, from the basics through to more advanced lighting techniques, in the hope of adding another page to his creative portfolio. Working since 2008, in retail, dealing with camera equipment ranging from point and shoot compacts through to Digital SLRs; he’s gained a strong understanding of both the photographic market as well as the consumers expectation from cameras.
