Samsung has raised the stakes with four new additions to its burgeoning range of digital cameras. Ideal for entry-level shooters and the photographer on a budget, the PL60, PL50, ES55 and ES15 models provide a hassle-free experience all while sporting a series of innovative and intuitive features.

PL60 and PL50
Tired of re-taking photos time and time again to get the perfect shot? The PL60 and PL50 do most of the work for you and let you concentrate on picking your next subject. Samsung’s Smart Auto mode automatically selects from one of eleven scene settings to take the best picture in any situation. The Samsung Perfect Portrait System which includes Beauty Shot, Face Detection, Self Portrait, Smile Shot, Blink Detection and red-eye fix creates effortlessly beautiful shots.
Conveniently powered by rechargeable Li-Ion batteries for those taking shots on the go, both cameras are also fitted with a powerful resolution of 10.2 megapixels so that every detail is captured with ease. The PL60 also sports a 5x optical zoom and a larger 2.7-inch LCD screen to bring objects closer while maintaining superior image quality.
ES55 and ES15
Rounding out the new range are the ES55 and ES15 - ideal for the photographer on a budget. Both models feature MPEG video recording and advanced movie mode; allowing consumers to pause and resume recording without having to save each video clip as an individual file. The Samsung ES55 and ES15 each feature a 2.5-inch LCD screen, 3x Zoom, Face Detection, Beauty Shot and Samsung’s Smart Album.
Samsung’s PL60, PL50, ES55 and ES15 are available now for the RRP (AUD) of $299, $249, $189 and $149 respectively.
