Samsung Digimax V50
If you're an ambitious photographer looking for a stylish digital camera packed with the latest features, the new Samsung Digimax V50 is the camera for you.

Offering a 5.1mega-pixel resolution ensuring crystal clear images, the V50 also boasts a world-class Schneider zoom lens which is equivalent to a 38-114mm lens in 35mm format. The 15 x zoom capability (3 x optical, 5 x digital) extends the range of the Schneider lens into the super-telephoto range.

Thanks to the " Macro" mode, close-up razor sharp pictures are achievable as close as 4 cm too.

The V50 features a massive 2 inch TFT LCD screen that rotates camcorder style, which means taking self-portraits and capturing images at interesting angles is a breeze. An intuitive graphical user interface allows you to easily navigate the camera's menu of features and capabilities. Features include a variety of exposure modes, three ISO settings and five flash settings.

The V50 offers fully automatic and manual controls including a number of preprogrammed settings: Easy mode, Program mode, Movie mode and Scene modes such as Sunset, Dawn and Fireworks.

In addition a combination mechanical and electronic shutter allows you to capture images at up to 1/2000 of a second.

The Digimax V50 can capture still images in single, continuous or AEB mode and store them as TIFF or JPEG formats. The camera can also capture movies in MPEG-4 format at a resolution of up to 640 x 480 (VGA).

The Digimax V50 uses SD/MMC storage cards and Memory Stick DUO.

The useful PICT Bridge feature allows you to link your camera directly to a printer, via a USB cable without the need to download to a computer. You can also edit, crop and rotate images using the TFT LCD on the camera before sending them to a printer.

The V50 additionally serves as a document scanner, automatically compensating for image distortion so creating perfect electronic copies of documents, which can then be uploaded to a computer, PDAs and mobile phone.

The camera uses nine different power sources: AA Alkaline, Ni-Mg, Ni-Zn, AA Lithium, CR?V3, Ni-MH, Ni-Cd, Li-Ion and Li-Ion so you should never be caught short on power.

The Samsung Digimax V50 is priced at under £330 and will be available from all good camera retailers from June. Also available to buy are Samsung conversion lenses giving you the option to choose from wide angle and super-telephoto lenses. The V50 also comes with an exceptional 2 year guarantee.
