 Samsung has released firware updates for the I7 and L34 digital cameras. The update adds support for the SDHC memory card.Instructions below are are taken from the site: http://www.samsungcamera.com/customer/download/fw/i7/fw_step1.asp?pfw_seq=72 It is advised you visit the Samsung website at the time of making the update. Preparations 1. Charge the camera battery fully If you fail to use a fully charged battery or the power fails during firmware upgrade, it will cause serious damaged to the main board and you will not be able to use the camera. Therefore, make sure to install a fully charged battery or connect the AC adapter before upgrade. If the camera is damages during firm ware upgrade for the above reason, you should replace the main board by visiting a service center. This may be expensive. 2. Prepare the camera charger To prevent any possible error due to power failure due to insufficient battery power, upgrade the camera firmware while the supplied AC adapter is connected. 3. Backup the data in the camera built-in memory The camera firmware upgrade will delete all the data saved on the camera. Backup all your important data onto computer before starting firmware upgrade. The company shall not be liable for any data loss. 4. Be sure to for mat the external memory to save the firmware before upgrade You must for mat the external memory to save the ca mera firmware unconditionally. Checking the Firmware Version How to : Make sure the memory card is not inserted and then turn the power on while holding down both the Information and Shutter button. You can check the firmware information as illustrated. Other information may differ depending on the device. Upgrade only when the firmware version is lower than the current version. Firmware of the same version have identical functions and performance. Upgrade the firmware after learning the following firmware upgrade procedures completely. If an error occurs during firmware upgrade, the camera may not work.
