 Epson Australia has today released the Epson Stylus CX3700 multifunction printer for home users, small businesses and students requiring high quality plain paper printing and scanning at a low cost per page.Until 28 February 2006 the Epson Stylus CX3700 comes with a bonus 12 month warranty, extending the warranty period to 24 months. The Epson Stylus CX3700 uses four individual colour ink cartridges, with Epson's new high quality DURABrite Ultra pigment ink, printing at up to 5760 dpi (optimised) in monochrome and colour. By using four individual ink cartridges the Epson Stylus CX3700 reduces the cost per print by tracking the amount of ink in each cartridge and then alerting users if one or more cartridges are running low. DURABrite Ultra pigment ink also increases the durability of prints, making them smudge and water resistant and giving up to 120 years lightfastness on selected Epson papers#. DURABrite Ultra adds gloss for text and photo printing on a wide range of paper types ensuring high quality presentation at all times. Using Epson's MicroPiezo(TM) printhead technology, and Epson Intellige(TM) cartridges with DURABrite Ultra ink, ensures that prints are uniform with consistent colour over long print runs from the Stylus CX3700. The Epson Stylus CX3700 multifunction printer includes the enhanced Epson Creativity Suite software for ease of use and management of files when printing, copying and scanning documents and photos. Epson's Creativity Suite includes Epson File Manager, Scan Assist, Attach to Email, Image Clip Palette, Copy Utility, Easy Photo Print and Web-To-Page for all scanning and printing needs. The Stylus CX3700 includes an improved scanner that scans at up to 600x1200dpi using a modified LUT (Look-Up Table) for high quality document and photo reproduction. With copying speeds of up to 6cpm (copies per minute) in monochrome and 3cpm in colour (A4 page, economy mode) the Stylus CX3700 is excellent for reproducing documents quickly. The Epson Stylus CX3700 prints at up to 18 ppm in monochrome and up to 9 ppm in colour (A4 pages per minute, economy mode), improving productivity for small businesses, home users and students. With a high speed USB interface and outstanding performance on plain paper, the Epson Stylus CX3700 is suited to home and small office users and price conscious students requiring professional looking documents and occasional photos at an affordable price. The Epson Stylus CX3700 is $129 RRP and it is available for purchase at consumer electronics retailers, computer superstores, mass merchandisers, office superstores and selected photo specialty stores.
