| Epson Appoints Tonnex As Direct Distributor |
 Epson Australia announced today the appointment of Tonnex International Pty Ltd as a direct distributor and Genuine Gold Seal supplier of its printer consumables.Epson’s Director of Marketing Communications, Mike Pleasants, said that Tonnex came on board with Epson 18 months ago as a sub-distributor. Since then Tonnex has grown significantly and moved to substantially larger premises. “Tonnex has shown strong growth as a supplier of printer and computer consumables nationally and Epson has acknowledged that achievement by appointing it as a tier one national distributor of Epson printer consumables,” Mr Pleasants said. Tonnex Director George Solomon said continued focus on the promotion of genuine Epson consumables along with ongoing communication to resellers on the benefits of purchasing via Tonnex has been a great success. “Being able to offer our resellers the confidence that purchasing their Epson consumables through Tonnex gives their customers access to Epson’s genuine rewards program, as well as our very competitive pricing, continued promotional offerings and our Reseller Rewards program, provides some great incentives for resellers to purchase their Epson from Tonnex,” Mr Solomon said. Epson’s Genuine Gold Seal Program is designed to protect consumers, distributors, suppliers and resellers from the threat and problems caused by counterfeit consumables, which have in the past entered Australia under the guise of grey imports and at first examination are often difficult to distinguish from genuine Epson products. Detection of counterfeit imports has lead to Epson successfully prosecuting importers and resellers of the counterfeit products. Partners in the Genuine Gold Seal program agree to purchase Epson consumables directly and solely from Epson Australia or an authorised Genuine Gold Seal distributor and agree to undergo periodic Epson audits of stock holdings, thereby becoming eligible to use the Epson Genuine Gold Seal. |
