Sony Australia has reinforced its position in the digital imaging category with the launch of the highly impressive new Cyber-shot H series.
Packed with Sony unique features, the HX9V, hero model of the H series, boasts 3D still image capabilities and a 16.2 megapixel Exmor R back-illuminated CMOS Sensor, which offering superior low-light performance.
Furthermore, with 1080p high-definition AVCHD (1920 x 1080) video recording, users can take Full HD movies with stunning, fast motion video and razor-sharp life-like images that capture vivid colours and detail every scene.
Map your memories with GPS and Compass functionality
With a built-in GPS and Compass feature, gone are the days of looking back on travel photos and forgetting where they were taken. With the HX9V, now your photos and movies can be automatically geotagged with the locations at which they were shot. Once photos are uploaded onto a computer, users can simply map where they were taken using the accompanied Picture Motion Browser Software.
Capture 42.9 megapixel images with Sweep Panorama
New to the H series, Sony’s unique Sweep Panorama Mode can now capture 42.9 megapixel still images – the highest resolution among all compact digital still cameras. Simply click the shutter and capture stunning scenes with a sweeping motion. The image can then be viewed on the camera’s 3-inch LCD screen or in Full HD on a BRAVIA LCD TV.
Shake free footage and premium G series lens
Optical Active SteadyShot is featured on the H series, allowing the camera lens to move a greater range of motion. As a result, it’s now easier than ever to capture shake free footage while walking or running with the camera.
Boasting Sony’s quality G lens within its compact camera body, the HX9V will be a popular choice with travel and photo enthusiasts. Designed and manufactured to the highest standards of optical performance, the Sony G lens is optimised to perfectly complement the advanced image sensors and image processing technology in Sony’s Cyber-shot cameras.
